Those of you with huge budgets and Jane Austen fans in your life, circle December 8 on your calendar (or set up an electronic reminder).

That's the day that a book owned by Austen — complete with annotations by her own hand — goes up for auction.

The Guardian reports that the copy of Isaac D’Israeli’s Curiosities of Literature is among the twenty or so books known to have been Austen's personal possessions.

It's been privately owned since the 1940s and never seen publicly.

However, as one might expect, it will fetch a pretty penny, with sale projections between $100,000 and $150,000.
